Lahore, April 9, 2025: In a groundbreaking move, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that Player Tracking Technology will be introduced for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10. This new technology will offer fans an in-depth, real-time analysis of various aspects of the game.

The Player Tracking Technology will record every detail of player movements, from fielder coordinates to bowler run-ups and batting stances. The data gathered on each delivery will be displayed live during matches, allowing fans to follow the game with unparalleled insight.

Key features of the technology include zone-based performance analysis for fielders, scoring-zone integration for batters, ball-catching analysis for caught dismissals and field placement breakdowns to analyze positioning

Speaking about the innovation, PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer emphasized the league’s commitment to enhancing the fan experience. “The HBL PSL has always embraced innovation, and with the introduction of Player Tracking Technology, we are taking another step forward in enriching the fan experience,” Naseer said. “Our goal has always been to deliver world-class coverage, and this technology will set a new benchmark for modern cricket broadcasting.”

The 10th edition of PSL will commence on April 11, 2025, with defending champions Islamabad United facing two-time winners Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The tournament will feature six teams and 34 matches, running from April 11 to May 18, with Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium hosting 13 matches, including both Eliminators and the grand final.

Additionally, three double-headers will be played, with matches scheduled on weekends and a national holiday (Labour Day). Karachi Kings, the winners of the fifth edition, will open their campaign on April 12 against last season’s runners-up, Multan Sultans. The first PSL 10 match in Multan will take place on April 22, where Multan Sultans will take on Lahore Qalandars.
