Islamabad, April 27, 2025: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar issued a stern warning to India on Sunday, advising against any misadventures that could escalate tensions between the two nations. Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Tarar emphasized that Pakistan remains in close contact with its allies and stands firm in its stance on peace and security.

Tarar criticized India for its human rights violations and pointed to evidence linking India to several violent incidents in Pakistan, including state-sponsored terrorism. He highlighted the Pahalgam attack and reminded the press that Pakistan itself has been a victim of terrorism, having made significant sacrifices, with nearly 90,000 lives lost in the fight against extremism.

The minister also drew attention to India’s lack of condemnation regarding acts of terrorism within Pakistan, including the Jaffar Express attack, which had drawn global condemnation, while India remained silent. He further alleged that India had been involved in supporting terrorist activities in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In his address, Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to a transparent inquiry into the Pahalgam incident and firmly rejected accusations against the country without any credible evidence. He reiterated that Pakistan’s hands are clean, expressing the country’s desire for peace, while reaffirming its readiness to defend itself if provoked.

“We are good hosts and serve a fantastic cup of tea,” Tarar concluded, signaling Pakistan’s continued focus on diplomacy, but underscoring its determination to protect its sovereignty.
