Lahore, May 1, 2025: Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan has expressed deep disappointment over his side’s premature exit from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, attributing the failure to repeated tactical errors and an inability to maintain momentum.

“It’s fair to say we’re out of the tournament now,” Rizwan admitted after the team’s heavy defeat to Karachi Kings, which sealed their elimination. “That certainly simplifies the qualification picture for the other teams. We lost momentum at crucial moments and in T20 cricket, that’s often the difference between winning and losing. The most frustrating part is that we kept making the same mistakes.”

Multan’s campaign got off to a rough start with a four-wicket defeat to Karachi Kings in the tournament opener. Losses to defending champions Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi followed, pushing the 2021 champions to the bottom of the standings.

Their only victory came in a dominant 33-run win over Lahore Qalandars at home, offering a glimmer of hope. However, that momentum quickly faded as they suffered four straight defeats, ultimately crashing out of the playoff race.

With just one win from eight matches, the Sultans endured a disappointing season — a sharp contrast to their consistent performances in previous editions.
