Islamabad, September 21, 2024- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session.

During his trip, the Prime Minister will make a brief stopover in London for a day. Over the course of his week-long visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly, with his speech expected on September 27. There are also potential meetings lined up with various world leaders.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Information Minister Atta Tarar are accompanying the Prime Minister, while Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has not joined the delegation to the United States.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar remained in Pakistan due to ongoing diplomatic engagements and preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) heads of government meeting, and thus did not accompany the Prime Minister to New York.
