Riyadh, June 6, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) on Friday, as the two leaders exchanged Eid greetings and discussed a comprehensive roadmap for enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.

According to Saudi media, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were also present during the high-level meeting. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding collaboration in trade, investment, energy, security, and regional development.

Crown Prince MBS personally received Prime Minister Shehbaz upon his arrival and later drove him to the Royal Court, where a special luncheon was hosted in his honour — a gesture widely seen as a symbol of the deep-rooted brotherhood between the two nations.

The two leaders also exchanged views on key regional developments and efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the Middle East.

The luncheon was attended by senior Saudi officials, key Middle Eastern leaders, and top military and civilian dignitaries. PM Shehbaz and Crown Prince MBS were seen engaging in a warm and candid conversation, underscoring the personal rapport they share.

The prime minister’s grand reception and his role as the luncheon’s chief guest reflect the strength of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations and highlight Pakistan’s growing diplomatic stature under Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership.

Prime Minister Shehbaz, accompanied by a high-level delegation, arrived in the Kingdom on Thursday on a two-day official visit at the invitation of the crown prince. His visit coincides with the ongoing Hajj season and the celebration of Eid ul Adha.

On Thursday night, PM Shehbaz, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and other delegation members performed Umrah. In a rare honour, the doors of the Holy Kaaba were opened exclusively for the delegation. They offered Nawafil prayers and expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for the success of the “Bunyan-ul-Marsoos” initiative.

Special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s continued progress in the economic and public welfare sectors, as well as for peace and prosperity in the country. The delegation also prayed for the oppressed Muslims in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine.
