Karachi, July 27, 2025: Veteran actress Bushra Ansari has sparked a wave of praise and conversation online after sharing a thought-provoking and humorous video on Instagram, challenging the gender stereotypes embedded in old Pakistani songs.

Widely regarded as an icon of the Pakistani entertainment industry, Bushra Ansari is celebrated not only for her versatility in acting, but also for her lively persona, sharp wit, and unwavering commitment to her values throughout her decades-long career.

In her latest Instagram post, the seasoned actress blended humor with feminist insight, singing snippets of nostalgic tracks like “Tarpaa Lo,” “Aazma Lo,” “Main Teri Daasi,” and “Tu Meri Ibadat.” As she sang, Bushra reflected on the subtle messages such songs conveyed to women — to endure pain, sacrifice their identity, and live to please others, particularly men.

She cited the popular line “Sajana Hai Mujhe Sajna Ke Liye” as an example of how women have long been taught to dress up for male approval. “Why must girls always prepare themselves for someone else?” she questioned. “Women should adorn themselves for their own joy, not for someone else’s satisfaction.”

Bushra added pointedly: “No more! These songs have damaged the mindset of our younger generation.” Her candid observations struck a chord with many viewers, as she called for a shift in how women perceive themselves and their role in society.

The video quickly garnered widespread appreciation, with fans praising her for addressing a serious issue in a relatable and engaging manner. “Thank you for this valuable advice!” one follower commented, while another wrote, “Haha! You are absolutely right!”

Apart from acting, Bushra remains a prominent digital presence, frequently engaging fans through YouTube vlogs and Instagram reels, often blending entertainment with meaningful commentary.

Bushra’s latest video is being hailed as a refreshing feminist take from a beloved cultural figure, resonating with both younger audiences and longtime admirers alike.

Virat Kohli’s brief Instagram ‘like’ sparks viral debate and online frenzy New Delhi, April 18, 2026: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has once again become the focus of intense social media discussion after a brief Instagram interaction triggered widespread online attention. The episode began when Kohli reportedly liked a photo post shared by German influencer Lizleys, which also featured Indian photographer Advait Vaidya. The interaction quickly went viral, particularly as Kohli does not follow the influencer on Instagram, prompting users to circulate screenshots across multiple platforms. Although the “like” was later removed, the moment had already gained traction online, leading to memes, speculation, and comparisons with a similar incident in 2025 involving another influencer. Lizleys later addressed the situation in comments to Indian media, describing the sudden attention as unexpected and overwhelming. She said the rapid viral spread made the experience uncomfortable, adding that she did not anticipate it becoming a major public discussion. She also expressed empathy toward Kohli, suggesting that there may have been no deliberate intent behind the interaction and questioning why it escalated into a trending topic. Photographer Advait Vaidya further added to the buzz by sharing a screenshot of the engagement on his social media account, thanking Kohli for the visibility the post received. Kohli has previously addressed similar online incidents, noting that such interactions can sometimes occur due to platform algorithms and urging the public to avoid overinterpretation. The incident once again highlights the heightened scrutiny faced by global celebrities, where even brief digital actions can rapidly evolve into viral narratives in the age of social media.
