Sharjah, August 30, 2025: Pakistan, riding on explosive half-centuries from Saim Ayub and Hasan Nawaz, set a formidable target of 207 runs in their 20 overs against hosts UAE in the second match of the ongoing tri-nation T20I series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Put into bat, Pakistan lost Sahibzada Farhan early, dismissed by Junaid Siddique for 8. After a brief stand with Fakhar Zaman (6), Ayub took charge, hammering his way to a blazing 69 off 38 balls (7 fours, 4 sixes). His fifty came in just 25 deliveries at a strike rate of 200, anchoring Pakistan past the Powerplay.

Skipper Salman Agha fell cheaply for 5, but Hasan Nawaz then steadied the innings. His aggressive stroke play lit up the middle overs — including three consecutive sixes in the 16th over — as he powered to 56 off 26 balls (2 fours, 6 sixes). Alongside Mohammad Nawaz (25 off 15), he built a crucial partnership that pushed Pakistan beyond 150.

Despite a flurry of wickets — with Mohammad Haris (1), Mohammad Nawaz (25), Hasan Ali (9), Faheem Ashraf (16), and Salman Mirza (3) falling in quick succession — Pakistan still managed to cross the 200 run mark.

For UAE, Saghir Khan (3/44) and Junaid Siddique (3/49) were the main wicket-takers, while Haider Ali chipped in with 2 wickets. Their breakthroughs at regular intervals kept Pakistan from posting an even bigger total.

Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 207 in 19.5 overs, leaving UAE with a daunting chase under the Sharjah lights.
