Dubai, September 20, 2025: Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first against Sri Lanka in the opening match of the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 Super Four stage at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The clash will be the 22nd T20I encounter between the two sides. Sri Lanka hold the upper hand historically with 13 wins, while Bangladesh have managed eight victories.

The two teams have already met once in this tournament, during the group stage, where Sri Lanka secured a comfortable six-wicket win.

Form-wise, both teams enter the Super Four with momentum on their side. Defending champions Sri Lanka are riding a four-match winning streak, while Bangladesh have recorded four wins in their last five completed T20Is, their only setback coming against the Islanders.

Sri Lanka swept all three of their group-stage fixtures, whereas Bangladesh advanced after suffering just one defeat — also at the hands of Sri Lanka.
