Guwahati, October 3, 2025: England rewrote the record books with a ruthless 10-wicket demolition of South Africa in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Opting to field first, captain Nat Sciver-Brunt’s bowlers dismantled the Proteas for just 69 in 20.4 overs — their third-lowest total in Women’s ODIs. South Africa’s lowest remains 51 against New Zealand in the 2009 World Cup.

In reply, England coasted to the target in style, sealing victory with 215 balls to spare — their fourth-largest margin in successful run-chases in the format. Their biggest came in 2013, also against South Africa, when they chased 78 with 243 deliveries remaining.
