Islamabad, October 16, 2024 – Amir Mughal, the Regional President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Islamabad, has issued an open message to the party leadership, urging them to immediately call for a protest at D-Chowk. He emphasized that if we want to free Imran Khan from this unlawful detention, stop these unconstitutional amendments, and reclaim our stolen mandate, we must act promptly.
He reiterated that it was Imran Khan’s order to protest at D-Chowk against these unconstitutional amendments. “If we waste this time and this unconstitutional occupying group succeeds in implementing these amendments, our struggle will become much longer, and we will suffer irreparable damage. We currently trust this leadership, but they must step up and present a clear plan for immediate protest.”
Amir Mughal also mentioned that to deter him from protesting, more than 12 false terrorism cases have been filed against him in recent days in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, including a false case of murdering an Islamabad police constable. He clarified that the constable had died due to his own police shelling, and a video statement from the deceased’s son is available as evidence.
In his statement, Amir Mughal called on the leadership to announce a protest at D-Chowk within the next two days.
