Islamabad, October 12, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are scheduled to undertake a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia beginning October 26, where they will hold high-level talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).

According to The News, this will be the first official visit to the Kingdom by the two leaders since the signing of the historic Pakistan–Saudi Arabia defence cooperation treaty in Riyadh last month.

During their stay, the Pakistani delegation is expected to discuss the evolving global and regional situation, with particular focus on developments in Gaza, as well as enhancing bilateral cooperation in defence, investment, and trade.

Prime Minister Shehbaz and Field Marshal Munir will lead a large delegation of Pakistani industrialists, business leaders, and investors attending an international conference on investment and economic affairs in Riyadh.

The conference, which will host over 500 global CEOs, heads of state, and senior executives from leading international corporations, aims to promote economic partnerships, innovation, and sustainable development. The event will feature high-level dialogues, networking sessions, and business matchmaking opportunities designed to facilitate cross-border collaboration.

The conference agenda includes discussions on:

  • Generative AI and digital infrastructure investments,
  • Building resilient and future-ready supply chains,
  • Aligning sustainability with business priorities,
  • Navigating geopolitical shifts and trade realignments,
  • Exploring emerging markets and energy security, and
  • Strengthening global trust in an era of uncertainty.

The three-day forum will also showcase interactive sessions, networking events, and cultural showcases, highlighting the growing role of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in shaping future economic trends.

Prime Minister Shehbaz is also expected to renew his invitation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to expanding strategic, economic, and defence cooperation with the Kingdom.
