California, October 17, 2025: Mohammad Arif, founder of Tehreek-e-Inqilab Pakistan, has accused the Afghan Taliban and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan of acting as proxies for India and carrying out hostile acts against Pakistan.

In a written statement, Arif said the Afghan Taliban have effectively become an Indian proxy, taking direction from New Delhi to mount operations against Pakistan. He warned that if war is imposed on Pakistan, the country has the right to respond.

Arif alleged that key decisions by the Taliban are now being sponsored from Delhi and said Kabul is fighting what he called a proxy war on behalf of India. He pointed to a widely reported incident in which an aircraft was downed and said the world has witnessed the event.

Arif also dismissed claims by Afghan authorities that certain military equipment displayed in Afghanistan belongs to Pakistan, saying the tanks shown do not exist in Pakistan’s inventory. He questioned the source of those vehicles and accused the Taliban of spreading falsehoods.

While acknowledging past gestures by Pakistan toward the current Afghan regime, Arif said recent developments show the group has turned ungrateful and is now acting against Pakistan’s interests. He concluded that the Taliban’s objective appears to be escalation rather than the restoration of peace.
