Karachi, October 17,2024- In a joint operation with the U.S. Navy, the Pakistan Navy seized drugs worth $26 million from a boat in the northern Arabian Sea. According to the ISPR, the Pakistan Navy conducted the anti-narcotics operation in collaboration with Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150).

The focused operation, dubbed “Himalayan Spirit,” saw the participation of the Pakistan Navy’s ship, PNS Zulfiqar, along with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency’s vessel, PMSS Kolachi. The U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln, provided support, alongside aerial assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Pakistan Navy’s aircraft.

The ISPR reported that the operation resulted in the seizure of 1.3 tons of hashish from the suspected boat. The confiscated drugs are valued at approximately $26 million in the international market.

This joint operation highlights the ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and international forces to combat drug trafficking in the region.
