Cairo, October 25, 2025: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi at the Itihadia Presidential Palace in Cairo, where both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations, the military said on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting reaffirmed the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Egypt and underscored their shared commitment to regional peace and stability.
Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded Egypt’s leadership for its vital role in promoting peace and stability across the region. In turn, President el-Sisi appreciated Pakistan’s positive and proactive contributions to global and Muslim Ummah-related issues.
Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination on matters of strategic significance and agreed to expand cooperation in socio-economic development, technology, and security sectors.
The two leaders also stressed the need to strengthen people-to-people contacts and enhance institutional collaboration between Pakistan and Egypt.
The interaction concluded on a cordial note, with both leaders expressing confidence that a stronger economic and security partnership would contribute to lasting peace and prosperity in Pakistan, Egypt, and the wider region.
