Islamabad, November 10, 2025: The glittering trophy for the much-anticipated three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was unveiled at a ceremony held at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad on Monday.
Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka jointly unveiled the silverware in the presence of media representatives and cricket officials.
The ODI series will kick off on Tuesday (November 11) at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, which will also host the remaining two matches on November 13 and November 15.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other 157 times in One-Day Internationals, with Pakistan dominating the head-to-head record, winning 93 matches compared to Sri Lanka’s 59. One match ended in a tie, while four produced no result.
The two sides last met in a bilateral ODI series in 2019, which Pakistan won 2-0.
Both teams enter the series in promising form. Pakistan recently secured a 2-1 series win over South Africa, while Sri Lanka recorded back-to-back series victories against Bangladesh (2-1) and Zimbabwe (2-0) earlier this year.
However, recent form slightly favours Sri Lanka — Pakistan have won two of their last five completed ODIs, whereas the Islanders have lost just one in the same span.
