New York, November 17, 2025: WWE Intercontinental Champion John Cena is set to make his final appearance on Monday Night Raw tonight at Madison Square Garden (MSG), marking the end of an era in professional wrestling.
The 17-time world champion, who has announced that he will retire from in-ring competition on December 13, urged fans not to miss what will be his last-ever performance on the flagship WWE show.
“Tomorrow night on [Netflix] is the end of an era in WWE. Don’t miss the final episode of #WWERaw you will ever see ME perform in,” Cena wrote on X. “No better stage than the iconic [Madison Square Garden] to chant ‘Let’s Go Cena’ or ‘Cena Sucks!’ Whatever it is, The Last Time is Now because after this … I can’t wrestle.”
WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed that Cena will open the show at MSG, a venue synonymous with historic WWE moments and career-defining matches.
Cena enters his final Raw appearance on the heels of a major career milestone. In last week’s episode, he defeated Dominik Mysterio to capture the Intercontinental Championship for the first time. The victory officially makes him the 25th WWE Superstar to complete the Grand Slam, having held the WWE, Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Championships during his storied career.
Following his title win, WWE announced the launch of a new tournament to determine the opponent for Cena’s farewell match next month — a final chapter befitting a career celebrated for its longevity, dedication, and global impact.
Cena’s MSG appearance is expected to be an emotional moment for fans and the WWE universe as they bid farewell to one of the most iconic performers in sports entertainment history.
