Karachi, October 21,2024- Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has extended an invitation to Argentine football players to visit Lyari. The invitation came during a meeting between the Chief Minister and Argentine Ambassador Sebastian Sayus, where they discussed bilateral relations.

According to the spokesperson for the Sindh Chief Minister, it was agreed in the meeting that Argentine investors would soon visit Sindh to meet with relevant departments.

Syed Murad Ali Shah highlighted that investing in water projects in Karachi would be profitable. He mentioned that the Sindh government, with $50 million funding from the World Bank, is working on a desalination project to treat seawater. Private investors are welcome to join in, as the treated seawater could be supplied to the city.

The Argentine ambassador noted that companies listed on the stock exchange are interested in investing in Sindh, particularly in setting up warehouses. Argentine investors are keen to explore business opportunities in the region.

The Sindh Chief Minister instructed the Investment, Food, and Irrigation departments to establish contact with the Argentine ambassador.

Additionally, Syed Murad Ali Shah invited Argentine football players to visit Lyari’s Kakri Ground. During the meeting, it was decided that along with investments, a football team would be developed in Sindh, and key players from the Argentine national team would play training matches in Lyari.
