Rawalpindi, December 2, 2025: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday declared 18 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers as proclaimed offenders in the high-profile May 9 GHQ attack case.
The list of declared proclaimed offenders includes prominent PTI figures Shibli Faraz, Omar Ayub, Kanwal Shauzab, Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, and Zartaj Gul. Other individuals named by the court are Mehr Javed, Muhammad Ahmed Chattha, Rai Hassan Nawaz, Bilal Ejaz, Murtaza Khan, Ashraf Sohna, Chaudhry Asif, Shakeel Niazi, Muhammad Ansar Iqbal, Haider Mahmood, Shaheer Sikandar, and Hamza Latif.
The ATC has ordered the seizure of all immovable properties belonging to the accused and directed revenue officers in their respective districts to take immediate action. The court stated that if the accused fail to surrender within the stipulated period, their properties would be auctioned.
In addition, the court has issued notices to the sureties of the accused, ensuring accountability for their appearance before the court.
The decision comes amid ongoing legal proceedings related to the May 9, 2023, attack on the GHQ, which involved violent protests and damage to federal property.
