Saudi Land Forces Commander meets COAS Asim Munir, discuss defence cooperation

Rawalpindi, December 3, 2025: Commander Royal Saudi Land Forces Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud Al-Johani on Wednesday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, evolving regional security dynamics, and prospects for expanding bilateral defence cooperation.

Both sides reiterated their resolve to further strengthen the deep-rooted and brotherly ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The COAS expressed satisfaction over the ongoing defence collaboration and highlighted the importance of sustained engagement in joint training, capacity building, and intelligence sharing.

Lieutenant General Al-Johani praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged Pakistan’s positive and stabilising role in regional peace and security.

The visit reflects continued high-level military exchanges between the two countries aimed at enhancing strategic cooperation and regional stability.
