New York, December 14,2025: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced the schedule for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), revealing that the tournament will be held from March 26 to May 3, 2026.

The announcement was made during the PSL roadshow in New York, with details emerging on Sunday. Speaking at the event, Naqvi said that rewarding players was key to boosting morale and emphasised that the PCB and PSL organisers were working in close coordination for the overall development of cricket in Pakistan.

“Pakistan has immense cricketing talent, and investors in the PSL receive meaningful returns,” Naqvi said, highlighting the league’s growing global appeal. The first-ever PSL roadshow in New York brought together current national team players and former Pakistan stars to promote the league internationally.

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram, who was also present at the event, said the success of the PSL was a collective effort. “The PSL continues to provide quality entertainment for cricket fans while creating opportunities for local talent,” he remarked.

Six members of Pakistan’s men’s national team, Salman Ali Agha, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Saim Ayub, Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel, participated in the roadshow. Former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja and PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer were also on stage alongside Naqvi.

Addressing the audience, Raja said the league played a crucial role in the development of young Pakistani cricketers by giving them the opportunity to compete alongside international players.

Meanwhile, the PCB has recently extended the deadline for submission of bids for the two new PSL franchises by one week, citing strong interest from Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Naqvi announced on his official X account on Friday that the new deadline for bid submissions is December 22, 2025.

“Witnessing growing interest from Europe, the USA, the Middle East and beyond in acquiring new HBL PSL teams, we have decided to extend the bid submission deadline by one week to December 22, 2025,” Naqvi wrote.

The PSL, which was launched in 2016 with five teams and expanded to six franchises in 2018, is now set for its next phase of growth. From its 11th edition, the league will feature two additional teams, marking its first major expansion in seven years and increasing the total number of franchises to eight.
