Islamabad, December 19, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting today to discuss strategies for enhancing Pakistan’s IT services exports. The session, attended by the Minister of IT and Telecommunication, secretaries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, senior officials, and industry experts, focused on leveraging the IT sector to generate significant revenue and foreign exchange reserves for the country.
During the meeting, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication presented detailed proposals for expanding IT exports and strengthening Pakistan’s global competitiveness in technology and related fields. Highlighting the strategic importance of IT as a key driver of Pakistan’s future industry, Senator Dar stressed the need for coordinated efforts between government institutions and the private sector. He affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would continue to support the IT industry by promoting its growth internationally and facilitating opportunities for Pakistani IT companies abroad.
