Islamabad, January 10, 2026: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of the wife of senior journalist, former President of the National Press Club Islamabad, and Daily The News reporter, Mr. Shakeel Anjum.In a condolence message, the Speaker said that the passing of Mr. Anjum’s wife is an extremely painful and testing time for him and his family. He termed the loss irreparable and described it as a great shock for the bereaved family.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq extended his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the grieving family, stating that he stands shoulder to shoulder with them in this hour of grief and sorrow.
The Speaker also prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the departed soul elevated ranks in Jannah and to bestow patience and fortitude upon the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
