Islamabad, January 13, 2026: Secretary General of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muhammad Humayun Khan, has described the establishment of a Girls Technical and Vocational Institute in Malakand by the PPP Sindh Government and party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as a revolutionary initiative for women empowerment.

He said the institute would equip women of Malakand with modern technical and vocational skills across various fields, significantly enhancing their employment prospects and contributing positively to the overall socio-economic development of the region.

Muhammad Humayun Khan held a meeting with Executive Director Waheeda Mahathir in Karachi to discuss matters related to the proposed Technical and Vocational Institute. The meeting focused on the establishment and construction of the Girls Technical and Vocational Institute in Batkhela, Malakand, in line with the directives of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

During the meeting, Waheeda Mahathir briefed the PPP Secretary General on the objectives of the project, proposed departments, and a comprehensive strategy aimed at providing modern technical training opportunities to women.

Appreciating the detailed planning and effective strategy, Muhammad Humayun Khan said the initiative taken by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reflects the PPP’s strong commitment to women empowerment. He termed the establishment of the institute by the PPP Sindh Government in Batkhela a transformational move that would place local women on the path to economic self-reliance.

He further described the institute as a valuable gift from Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to the resilient women of Malakand. Concluding his remarks, Muhammad Humayun Khan expressed gratitude, on behalf of the people of Malakand, to Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Sindh Government for ensuring representation and launching development projects in the region.
