Islamabad, January 22, 2026: Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Harerimana Fatou, on Thursday met Senator Sherry Rehman during a luncheon with female ambassadors accredited to Pakistan, where discussions focused on advancing women’s empowerment and inclusive progress.

The luncheon was hosted by Ms. Natalie Baker, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Pakistan, bringing together women diplomats and leaders to exchange perspectives on gender equality and collaboration.

During the interaction, Ambassador Fatou and Senator Rehman shared views on strengthening efforts to promote women’s rights, leadership and participation across social, economic and political spheres. The discussion highlighted the importance of international cooperation and dialogue in supporting inclusive and sustainable development.

Ambassador Fatou expressed her sincere appreciation for the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration, and thanked the US Embassy for hosting the event. She noted that such platforms play a vital role in fostering partnerships and reinforcing collective commitments to women’s empowerment.
