Islamabad/Stockholm, January 26,2026: On the occasion of the International Day of Clean Energy, Sweden has reaffirmed that clean energy remains a cornerstone of its climate action agenda, underlining the importance of a transition that is fair, inclusive, and designed for the long term.

In Sweden, clean energy drives not only climate action but also innovation and sustainable economic growth. This commitment extends beyond national borders, reflecting Sweden’s belief that global cooperation is essential to addressing the climate challenge.

In Pakistan, Swedish companies are contributing to the clean energy transition through practical, on-ground solutions. Their efforts include strengthening electricity transmission networks, improving energy efficiency, and supporting industries in adopting more responsible and sustainable energy use.

From advanced grid technologies provided by Hitachi Energy and ABB to energy efficiency and industrial innovation driven by Atlas Copco, Swedish expertise is helping power homes, industries, and communities in a more sustainable manner.

Officials and experts emphasize that clean energy is not only about technology. It is equally about partnerships, local impact, and building resilient energy systems that meet today’s needs while safeguarding the planet for future generations.
