Chinese Counsellor meets PM’s commerce coordinator to boost bilateral trade ties

Islamabad, February 3, 2026: Mr. Wang Shengjie, Counsellor at the Embassy China in Pakistan, paid a courtesy visit to Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The meeting featured cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest, underscoring the “all-weather friendship” and strategic partnership between Pakistan and China. Both sides explored avenues to further enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, commerce, and investment.

Mr. Wang appreciated the warm hospitality extended during the visit and reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepening ties with Pakistan for shared prosperity. The engagement reflected the positive momentum in Pakistan-China relations and a shared resolve to advance practical and mutually beneficial cooperation.
