Pakistan, Bangladesh foreign ministers meet in Jeddah to strengthen bilateral ties

Islamabad, February 27, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Khalilur Rahman, on the sidelines of the extraordinary ministerial session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Executive Committee in Jeddah.

During the meeting, DPM/FM Dar congratulated his Bangladeshi counterpart on the historic and smooth transfer of power in Bangladesh and on his assumption of office.

The leaders held productive discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, culture, technology, and people-to-people exchanges. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties and agreed to work closely together to promote peace, stability, and shared prosperity in the region.

The engagement highlights continued diplomatic efforts by Pakistan and Bangladesh to strengthen regional cooperation and mutual development initiatives.
