Islamabad, March 3,2026: As part of its ongoing humanitarian initiatives during the holy month of Ramadhan, H.E. Salem Mohammed Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, oversaw the distribution of 1,000 Iftar packets and 1,800 kilograms of dates among deserving families in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).
The initiative was carried out in close coordination with the local authorities to ensure that food assistance reached the most vulnerable segments of society during the blessed month.
In his message on the occasion, Ambassador Al-Zaabi stated that the launch of the Iftar and dates distribution program is part of the Embassy’s broader initiatives and plans, undertaken in collaboration with charitable and humanitarian foundations during Ramadhan. He emphasized that the Embassy responds to appeals from various regions of Pakistan in close coordination with local Pakistani governments, which cooperate closely to ensure that food reaches every needy family.
The Ambassador also praised the generous support extended by charitable organizations to the people of Pakistan and expressed appreciation for the sincere brotherhood between the UAE and Pakistan, rooted in the deep historical ties linking the two nations.
The distribution drive in Muzaffarabad reflects the spirit of solidarity, compassion, and enduring partnership that continues to define relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.
