Rawalpindi, March 7, 2026: Pakistan’s security forces killed 15 terrorists linked to Indian-sponsored militant networks during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan earlier this week, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

According to the military’s media wing, the operations were conducted on March 5 in Harnai and Basima districts after intelligence reports about the presence of militants belonging to Indian proxy groups referred to as Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan.

In the first operation, security forces launched an intelligence-based raid in Harnai District targeting militants associated with Fitna al Khwarij. During the operation, troops effectively engaged the militants’ hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, 12 Indian-sponsored militants were killed, the statement said.

In a separate operation in Basima District, security forces tracked the presence of militants linked to Fitna al Hindustan. Troops engaged the suspects using a mix of calibre weapons, leading to a fierce firefight in which three terrorists were killed.

The ISPR said that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the slain militants, who had reportedly been involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

Security forces have launched sanitisation operations in the surrounding areas to ensure that no other militants remain present.

The military reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their relentless counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

“The security forces of Pakistan remain determined to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the statement added.
