Islamabad, March 27, 2026: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah on Friday, expressing Pakistan’s strong condemnation of recent attacks on Kuwait and reaffirming solidarity with its leadership and people.
During the warm and cordial exchange, the prime minister conveyed his condolences over the loss of lives and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the attacks. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kuwait during the ongoing crisis.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also briefed the Kuwaiti leadership on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and bringing an end to the conflict in the Middle East through dialogue and mediation.
The Kuwaiti crown prince appreciated the prime minister’s leadership and fully endorsed Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue, particularly its efforts to mediate between Iran and the United States. He thanked Pakistan for its continued support and acknowledged the prime minister’s recent letter expressing solidarity with Kuwait.
Expressing a desire to strengthen bilateral ties, the crown prince also conveyed his intention to visit Pakistan once the situation stabilizes.
The prime minister thanked the crown prince for his sentiments and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
