Islamabad, April 2, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, focusing on regional peace and evolving geopolitical developments.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Uzbek foreign minister commended Pakistan’s proactive role in promoting regional peace, stability, and de-escalation. He also appreciated Pakistan’s leadership in hosting a recent multilateral meeting of foreign ministers in Islamabad.
During the conversation, FM Saidov expressed full support for the Pakistan-China Five-Point Initiative aimed at fostering peace and stability in the Gulf and Middle East regions.
The two leaders reviewed recent regional developments and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and engagement on matters of mutual interest.
The interaction reflects the growing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, particularly in the context of regional connectivity and peacebuilding efforts.
