Karachi, April 17, 2026: Defending champions Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first against last season’s runners-up Quetta Gladiators in the 26th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) at the National Bank Stadium on Friday.
The fixture carries added significance as both teams look to regain momentum in a tightly contested season. The Qalandars hold a slight historical edge in head-to-head encounters, having won 11 of the 21 matches between the two sides, while the Gladiators have secured nine victories, with one match ending in no result.
Their most recent meeting came in the final of PSL 10, where Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by six wickets to lift their third PSL title.
Both sides enter the contest with similar standings, having collected four points each so far in the tournament, though the Gladiators have played one additional match.
Quetta Gladiators began their PSL 11 campaign with a narrow 14-run defeat against Karachi Kings before bouncing back with a dominant 40-run win over debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen. However, inconsistency followed as they suffered defeats against Islamabad United and Multan Sultans, before registering a win against Rawalpindi Kingsmen and then falling to Peshawar Zalmi.
Lahore Qalandars, meanwhile, started strongly with wins over Kingsmen and Multan Sultans but have since slipped after consecutive losses to Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, leaving them in seventh place on the points table.
With both teams eager to stabilize their campaigns, the encounter is expected to be a crucial turning point in their PSL 11 journey.
