Karachi, April 18, 2026: Defending champions Lahore Qalandars delivered a commanding batting display to post 210/4 in 20 overs against Rawalpindiz in the 27th match of Pakistan Super League Season 11 at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday.
The foundation of the big total was laid by openers Mohammad Farooq and Fakhar Zaman, who shared a dominant century partnership and put the Rawalpindi bowling attack under early pressure.
Farooq led the charge with a fluent 63 off 41 balls, striking five fours and five sixes, before being dismissed by Mohammad Amir in the 11th over after a 121-run opening stand.
Fakhar Zaman continued the momentum with a well-composed innings, reaching his 25th PSL half-century and eventually scoring a brilliant 84 off 54 deliveries, including 11 boundaries and a six.
Middle-order batter Abdullah Shafique added valuable support with a quick 26 off 18 balls, helping push the score past the 150-run mark before falling to Razaullah.
Late breakthroughs by Rawalpindi briefly checked Lahore’s progress, with Razaullah also removing Sikandar Raza for a first-ball duck, leaving Qalandars at 191/3 in the 18th over.
However, a late flourish from Asif Ali ensured a strong finish, as he struck back-to-back sixes in the final over to take the total beyond 200. He remained unbeaten on 14 off 6 balls alongside Charith Asalanka.
For Rawalpindiz, Mohammad Amir and Razaullah were the pick of the bowlers, claiming two wickets each, though they were expensive in a high-scoring contest.
With a formidable 211-run target set, Qalandars will now look to their bowling unit to defend the total in what promises to be a decisive clash for both sides struggling near the bottom of the table.
