Islamabad, May 7, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders exchanged views on key regional and international issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed the importance of continued diplomatic engagement.
During the conversation, Araghchi briefed Dar on his recent visit to China and consultations held there regarding regional and global developments.
The Iranian foreign minister also thanked Pakistan for facilitating the repatriation of Iranian nationals from previously seized vessels and appreciated Pakistan’s continued diplomatic and humanitarian support in the matter.
Both sides underscored the importance of regional cooperation and maintaining close coordination to support peace and stability in the region.
