Rawalpindi, May 9, 2026: The military leadership of Pakistan on Saturday extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation and members of the armed forces on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, describing the occasion as a symbol of courage, professionalism, unity, and national resilience.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Syed Asim Munir, Naveed Ashraf, and Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu said the anniversary was being observed with deep reverence, gratitude, and national fervour across the country.
The military leadership stated that the armed forces stood shoulder to shoulder with the people of Pakistan, reaffirming their enduring and unbreakable bond with the nation.
To commemorate the occasion and honour the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans, ceremonies are being organised nationwide, including wreath-laying events at martyrs’ memorials and special prayers in tribute to those who laid down their lives for the country’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
The ISPR statement described Marka-e-Haq as a defining moment in Pakistan’s national journey, reflecting the country’s strategic maturity, military excellence, and collective resolve. It said the success strengthened national confidence and reinforced Pakistan’s role as a responsible regional stabiliser possessing credible defensive capabilities.
The statement further maintained that Pakistan’s measured and resolute response during Marka-e-Haq exposed adversarial conspiracies, false-flag narratives, and disinformation campaigns, diminishing their credibility at the international level.
Despite facing both conventional and hybrid challenges, including proxy terrorism, the armed forces demonstrated operational effectiveness across land, air, sea, cyber, and information domains, it added.
According to ISPR, Pakistan has further enhanced its defensive preparedness and strengthened full-spectrum deterrence following Marka-e-Haq despite resource asymmetries, reaffirming the armed forces’ professionalism, readiness, and dedication to national defence.
The anniversary also serves as a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty while promoting peace and stability in South Asia, the statement noted.
The military leadership emphasized that sustainable peace in the region could only be achieved through meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and adherence to international law and principles of justice.
“With the unwavering support of a resilient and united nation, the Armed Forces remain capable, vigilant, and fully prepared to confront all internal and external challenges, ensuring the security, stability, and territorial integrity of Pakistan,” the ISPR statement concluded.
“Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad.”
