Islamabad, May 11, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Monday held a meeting with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker to discuss the evolving regional situation and matters related to bilateral ties between Pakistan and the United States.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on regional peace efforts and broader cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister highlighted Pakistan’s role in facilitating communication between the United States and Iran, expressing hope that ongoing diplomatic efforts would help promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Dar also appreciated the continued assistance of the United States in facilitating the repatriation of Pakistani and Iranian seafarers through Singapore.
The meeting reflects continued diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and the United States amid evolving geopolitical developments in the region.
