Islamabad, May 11, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role and reiterated support for Islamabad’s efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability, particularly in the context of ongoing engagement between Iran and the United States.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the importance of safeguarding maritime security, including ensuring stability in the Strait of Hormuz, amid heightened regional tensions.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact regarding regional and international developments and reaffirmed the importance of diplomatic engagement for maintaining peace and security in the region.
The conversation reflects continued coordination between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on key regional issues and geopolitical developments.
