Islamabad, May 11, 2026: The Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, Dan Stoenescu, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting a police station in Bannu, expressing solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan.
In a statement, the Romanian envoy conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of those martyred in the attack and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a swift and full recovery to all those injured,” he said.
He further reaffirmed Romania’s support for Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, stating: “We stand together with the people of Pakistan in rejecting terrorism and extremism in every form.”
The statement comes amid renewed international expressions of concern over recent militant attacks in Pakistan’s northwestern regions, particularly targeting law enforcement personnel.
