Pakistan, UAE relations discussed during envoys’ conference meeting

Islamabad, May 19, 2026: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Shafqat Ali Khan, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the Regional Envoys’ Conference in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the deputy prime minister underscored the importance of further expanding cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates across diverse sectors and strengthening the longstanding bilateral relationship between the two countries.

Mohammad Ishaq Dar also acknowledged the positive contributions of the Pakistani community residing in the UAE, describing them as an important bridge between the two nations.

He directed that greater efforts be made to facilitate the welfare of overseas Pakistanis in the UAE while promoting stronger people-to-people contacts and closer bilateral engagement.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Regional Envoys’ Conference being held in Islamabad.
