Rawalpindi, May 19, 2026: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison on Tuesday, where he addressed student officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College, Quetta.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the field marshal praised the institution’s high standards of training, intellectual rigor, and professionalism, describing them as the hallmark of the Command and Staff College.

He expressed satisfaction over the continued outstanding performance and dedication demonstrated by the college’s graduates in their professional careers.

During his address, Syed Asim Munir highlighted the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare and stressed the importance of adapting to emerging technologies, multi-domain operations, tri-services synergy, and future battlefield challenges.

He advised officers to continuously enhance their professional capabilities and train their troops to effectively respond to the changing character of warfare while maintaining the highest standards of preparedness, professionalism, and operational excellence.

Later, the army chief interacted with officers and troops deployed in Balochistan, where he reaffirmed the Pakistan Armed Forces’ commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms with the support of the people.

He stated that Pakistan’s progress could not be hindered through propaganda, fake news, or externally sponsored terrorism, adding that hostile forces attempting to destabilize the country through proxies and misinformation would ultimately fail due to the resilience of the state and national unity.

Emphasizing the importance of sustainable peace and stability in Balochistan, the field marshal said long-term development in the province depended on a people-centric approach, inclusive progress, and improved governance alongside security measures.

He also appreciated the efforts of the Government of Balochistan aimed at public welfare, socio-economic development, and strengthening trust between the state and the people.

The army chief further commended the high morale, operational readiness, and professional commitment of officers and troops serving in Balochistan in maintaining peace, stability, and the writ of the state.

Earlier, upon his arrival in Quetta, Syed Asim Munir was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
