Islamabad, May 24,2026: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the blast near Chaman Phatak in Quetta, expressing deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives.

In a statement issued by the Senate Secretariat’s Media Directorate, the Chairman Senate extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and said that such cowardly acts of terrorism cannot weaken the resolve of the nation.

He said terrorist elements were attempting to undermine peace and stability in the country, but stressed that the entire nation remained united against terrorism.

Yousaf Raza Gilani directed the concerned authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured and take all necessary steps for their speedy recovery.

He reaffirmed that anti-state and anti-peace elements would never be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs and paid tribute to the sacrifices of law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism.

The Chairman Senate reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the complete eradication of terrorism and prayed for the elevation of ranks of those who lost their lives, along with strength and patience for the bereaved families.
