Qatar commends Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability

Doha, November 14, 2024- Chairman of Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, is on an official visit to Qatar, where he met with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al-Thani, as well as the Chief of Staff of Qatar’s Armed Forces.

During these discussions, both sides exchanged views on regional security dynamics and pledged to enhance bilateral cooperation. General Mirza emphasized the strong brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar, expressing Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening military and defense partnerships. The Qatari leadership lauded Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability, particularly acknowledging the professionalism and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.

The meetings underscore a shared commitment to peace and the strategic importance of Pakistan-Qatar relations in fostering stability in the region.
