In his congratulatory message, Chairman Senate stated that the election of Imran Nadeem as Speaker and Malik Kifayat-ur-Rehman as Deputy Speaker reflects the strength of democratic traditions and the continued consolidation of parliamentary values and institutions.

He said that the confidence reposed in the newly elected leadership by the members of the Assembly is a clear testament to their capabilities, leadership qualities, and commitment to public service.

Chairman Senate emphasized that the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly continues to play a vital role in representing the aspirations of the people and advancing the region’s development through effective parliamentary engagement and legislation.

Expressing optimism for the future, Senator Gilani stated that the new leadership is expected to make a meaningful contribution towards promoting constitutional supremacy, strengthening democratic norms, and enhancing the legislative process in the region.
