Islamabad, July 8,2026: Mauritius Ambassador to Pakistan Munsoo Kurrimbaccus paid a courtesy call on Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov in Islamabad on Wednesday, where the two diplomats discussed matters of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on enhancing relations between Mauritius and Azerbaijan in diverse fields, including trade, investment, energy, tourism, education, innovation and cultural exchanges.
During the discussion, the two ambassadors underscored the importance of deepening bilateral engagement and identifying new avenues for mutually beneficial partnerships that could contribute to the sustainable development of both countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Kurrimbaccus said diplomacy was built on dialogue and expressed his desire to work closely with the Embassy of Azerbaijan to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Mauritius and Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan was described during the meeting as a dynamic economy with growing potential across multiple sectors, offering opportunities for stronger collaboration with Mauritius.
