Islamabad, July 8,2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday expressed profound sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by severe rains and devastating floods in China, and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
In a statement, the speaker also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the natural disaster and expressed solidarity with the Chinese leadership and people during the difficult time.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the parliament and people of Pakistan stood with their Chinese brothers and sisters, adding that the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China had always stood the test of time and grown stronger in the face of challenges.
He said the people of Pakistan and China had consistently stood by one another in times of joy and sorrow and remained steadfast partners during natural disasters and other hardships.
Reaffirming the close ties between the two countries, the speaker said the enduring bonds of friendship, solidarity and mutual support between Pakistan and China continued to strengthen with the passage of time.
