Dubai, July 15,2026: Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed has moved within touching distance of the No. 1 position in the ICC Men’s ODI bowling rankings, while fast bowler Naseem Shah also made progress in the latest weekly rankings released on Wednesday.
The latest rankings, updated after England’s opening ODI against India and Zimbabwe’s series victory over Bangladesh, saw Abrar remain second among ODI bowlers, just seven rating points behind Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, who continues to lead the standings.
South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj climbed to third place, overtaking England pacer Jofra Archer.
Among Pakistan’s other bowlers, Shaheen Shah Afridi slipped one place to ninth with 604 rating points, while Haris Rauf dropped two spots to 22nd. Naseem Shah improved one place to 47th with 477 rating points, and Mohammad Wasim Jr retained his 69th position.
In the ODI batting rankings, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam slipped one place to seventh with 689 rating points. Salman Ali Agha also dropped one position to 16th with 630 points.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan held on to 31st place, while opener Fakhar Zaman slipped to 36th with 544 rating points. Young opener Saim Ayub also dropped one place to 44th.
New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell retained the No. 1 position in the ODI batting rankings, with India captain Shubman Gill second, just 11 rating points behind. Former India captain Virat Kohli remained third.
In the ODI all-rounders’ rankings, Salman Ali Agha dropped one place to 11th, while Shaheen Afridi climbed to 21st. Abrar Ahmed improved one position to 31st, whereas Naseem Shah slipped to 38th.
Saim Ayub moved up one place to 40th among all-rounders, Haris Rauf climbed to 47th, Shadab Khan remained 61st, and Mohammad Nawaz advanced one spot to 73rd.
