Islamabad, August 1, 2026: Pakistan on Saturday welcomed the positive developments under the Board of Peace aimed at implementing the Gaza Peace Plan, expressing hope that the latest diplomatic efforts would lead to the full execution of all commitments and advance a lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appreciated the mediation efforts of the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye, acknowledging their sustained engagement in facilitating progress towards peace.

Pakistan expressed confidence that the ongoing diplomatic initiatives would help ensure the complete implementation of the commitments outlined in the Gaza Peace Plan and contribute to regional stability.

The Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding support for the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination through a credible and time-bound political process in accordance with international law, international legitimacy and relevant United Nations resolutions.

It emphasized that the peace process should culminate in the establishment of an independent, sovereign, contiguous and viable State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.

Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and reiterated its commitment to a just, comprehensive and durable resolution of the Palestine issue in line with internationally recognised parameters.
