Karachi, August 1, 2026: Pakistani streetwear brand Movement has unveiled its largest collection to date, “LYARI”, a 28-piece apparel line inspired by the culture, language and artistic heritage of Karachi’s historic Lyari neighbourhood, accompanied by an original anthem featuring rapper Eva B and local artists.
The collection, released on July 31, marks the brand’s most ambitious project since its launch in 2023. According to the company, the collection was developed from within the community rather than drawing inspiration from it externally, aiming to authentically reflect Lyari’s identity through fashion, music and visual storytelling.
Movement said the collection highlights Lyari’s longstanding contributions to Pakistani football, hip-hop culture and street art. The designs incorporate local expressions, colours and hand-drawn graphics inspired by the neighbourhood, including phrases such as “Lyari Dil Hai Jani.”
Alongside the apparel line, the brand released an original anthem produced by Qasim Azhar, featuring Eva B and rappers from Lyari. Recorded in the area’s native slang and dialect, the song seeks to capture the neighbourhood’s authentic voice without adapting it for wider audiences.
The accompanying music video was filmed entirely on location in Lyari and features local residents rather than professional actors, further reinforcing the project’s community-driven approach.
Movement said the 28-piece collection was designed with global appeal while remaining rooted in Pakistani culture, aiming to create garments that would feel equally relevant on the streets of Lyari and in international fashion markets.
Founded in Karachi in 2023, Movement has gained recognition for collaborating with Pakistani artists, athletes and musicians through narrative-driven collections, including its +92 collection with cricket legend Wasim Akram and a capsule collaboration with artist Adeel uz Zafar.
The LYARI collection is available through Movement’s online store, with shipping offered to Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Canada. The accompanying anthem has also been released on major music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
