Islamabad, August 11, 2026: A high-level Chinese business delegation led by Liu Ying, President of the Dongguan Ganzhou Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Dongguan Chuanbo Metal Products Co., has explored opportunities for investment, joint ventures and industrial cooperation in Pakistan, particularly in manufacturing, infrastructure development, construction, new energy, advanced materials and export-oriented production.
The delegation held a business interaction with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), where a detailed presentation on Dongguan Chuanbo Metal Products Co. was also given. The presentation highlighted the company’s business profile, products, manufacturing capabilities and potential areas of cooperation with Pakistani enterprises.
Speaking on the occasion, Liu Ying said the delegation had visited Pakistan with a strong interest in exploring practical business opportunities and developing long-term partnerships with Pakistani companies.
He emphasised the importance of strengthening private-sector linkages and expressed hope that the visit would lead to concrete cooperation in investment, joint ventures, manufacturing and technology-based partnerships.
The delegation comprised representatives of Chinese businesses associated with metal and plastic products, construction, new energy, advanced materials, flooring solutions, packaging, international trade and investment, offering significant scope for business-to-business cooperation.
The visiting companies expressed interest in exploring Pakistan’s market and developing partnerships with local businesses to expand their regional presence.
In his welcome address, ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood said the visit provided an opportunity to transform the traditional Pakistan-China friendship into a stronger economic partnership based on investment, manufacturing, technology transfer and joint value creation.
He said Pakistan offered a large market, a young population, entrepreneurial talent, strategic connectivity and significant opportunities in infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and technology.
Mehmood invited Chinese companies to invest, establish manufacturing facilities, form joint ventures and develop supply chains in Pakistan, stressing that bilateral cooperation should go beyond conventional trade.
He particularly highlighted opportunities in infrastructure development, construction, renewable energy, industrial manufacturing, engineering, advanced materials, packaging and technology.
He said Chinese expertise and investment could help accelerate Pakistan’s industrial development while creating employment and expanding export opportunities.
The ICCI president said Chinese companies could use Pakistan as a platform to access regional markets, while Pakistani businesses could benefit from Chinese technology, capital, manufacturing expertise and global market networks.
He assured the delegation that ICCI and Pakistan’s business community were ready to facilitate B2B meetings, investment matchmaking, joint ventures, technology partnerships and market access.
“Let us not merely trade with each other; let us build with each other, invest with each other, innovate with each other and grow together,” he said, expressing confidence that the visit would open a new chapter in Pakistan-China industrial cooperation, investment and shared economic prosperity.
In his vote of thanks, ICCI Vice President Irfan Chaudhry said the Chamber would continue to serve as a bridge between the business communities of Pakistan and China.
ICCI Executive Members Waseem Chaudhry, Zulqurnain Abbasi, Mirza Mohammad Ali and Imran Minhas, along with Najeeb Ellahi Malik, ICCI senior member Yasir Javaid and other representatives of the business community were also present on the occasion.
