Islamabad, August 13, 2026: Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Akamatsu Shuichi has extended heartfelt felicitations to the government and people of Pakistan on the country’s 79th Independence Day, reaffirming Japan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
In a video message, Ambassador Akamatsu conveyed warm wishes on behalf of the government and people of Japan, describing Pakistan and Japan as trusted partners committed to promoting peace, progress and stability.
“As we look forward to the 75th anniversary of Japan-Pakistan diplomatic relations in 2027, we renew our pledge to work together as trusted partners to promote peace, progress, and stability and to further strengthen friendly relations between Japan and Pakistan,” he said.
The Japanese envoy reiterated the longstanding friendship between the two countries and expressed confidence that bilateral ties would continue to deepen in the years ahead.
Concluding his message, Ambassador Akamatsu expressed the enduring spirit of friendship between the two nations, saying: “Japan-Pakistan Dosti Zindabad.”
